REVEREND ANTHONY C. HILL
Presiding Elder, Kansas District

Reverend Anthony Curtis Hill is the Presiding Elder of the Kansas District of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Reverend Hill was licensed to preach in the CME Church in 1993. He was ordained Local Deacon in 1995, Traveling Elder in 1997, and received into Full Connection in 1999. He has pastored the Saint James CME Church, Leavenworth, KS, Wesley Chapel CME Church, Coffeyville, KS, Escue Chapel CME Church, Larned, KS, and St. Luke CME Church in Denver, CO. Elder Hill currently serves as the pastor of the Cleaves Memorial CME Church, Denver CO.

Reverend Hill earned his undergraduate degree with honours from Washburn University and his Masters of Divinity from the Iliff School of Theology, where he currently serves as adjunct faculty instructing interns who are in pastoral and other leadership contexts. Reverend Hill is also a graduate of the Benedictine Spiritual Formation Program and is a certified Spiritual Director. He is an active member of the Board of Spiritual Direction, Colorado. As a bi-vocational pastor, he is employed as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor for the Addiction Research Treatment Services (University of Colorado), where he counsels opioid-dependent patients in recovery.

Reverend Hill is an Order of the Flame covenant community member (1998). He has served on the Kansas-Missouri Region Committee on Ministry, Board of Trustees, and Joint Board of Finance. Reverend Hill is a retired U.S. Army Master Sergeant (E-8) and resides with his wife, La Tasha and their children (Josiah, Jayden, Jordan, and J’Nayia) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
